Boat Blessing
When a new ship is launched she is always blessed before her maiden journey. Sometimes this is undertaken by a
Minister of Religion whilst on other occasions, it could be by a dignitary who swings a magnum of champage to smash
against the bow of the ship.
So whether you are planning to sail the seven seas or just potter around the
Marina, it is always a good idea to offer a blessing for a safe passage. Whilst you might not be subjected to
stormy seas locally, you don't want to spring a leak either. Many people now ask an Interfaith Minister to create a small blessing ceremony that
precedes a celebration where guests drink the champagne!
If you would like a unique boat or yacht blessing ceremony, I would be happy to talk about the possibilities.
As with all Interfaith ceremonies they are created entirely to suit your needs and personal belief
system.
